The PP is my top concern still.
We R scaring nobody while 2mins cooks off.
I'm like many ppl watching the Sedins control the puck but generating no scoring chances has to change asap. The other concern I have is while we R expecting to be a faster team it's just not happening.

It is what it is until they get more skill in their lineup. Last game Horvat, Eriksson and Grandlund lead the team in PP time with 1:09 each, the Sedins, Sutter and Baertschi were all at 56 seconds.

Against SJ Horvat was also tops with 1:44 of PP time.

Interesting move by JB to send Gaunce down. He picked Boucher up to add some skill and scoring to his lineup, and Willie refuses to play him. Instead of dropping the hammer on his rebellious coach , Jimbo takes one of Willie's toys away and forces his hand to use Boucher. Interesting development

Stecher/Tryamkin/Gaunce are the only players to be sent down without going through waivers. He is the obvious choice of the 3. What boggles my mind though is why Larsen/Megna isn't subjected to waivers. It's not like they would get claimed.

Everyone needs to stop dreaming of the playoffs. Just look at our schedule to close out the year! It's absolutely horrendous. We are going to get utterly DESTROYED. The NHL's schedule makers clearly wanted to make sure we weren't eliminated from the playoffs long before Valentine's Day. So, they gave us an easy start to the year, and an extremely easy first-half overall. But, of course, this means that the second half has to be a nightmare to compensate. And, that's where we are right about now. We are heading into our 'payback' games.

We are probably going to finish somewhere around 27th. Top 16 is really out-of-the-question. It would take a miracle.

Thanks Carol for the Comets update. Will you follow up on how Guance is doing and if he's being deployed with JV?

I don't, cus if they do that only leaves us, Blues, Sabres and Leafs that havent won a REAL cup. Misery loves company.

My biggest fear is that we become the Cubs of hockey and i'm on my death bed in 2057 covered in my 94' Bure jersey screaming "Courtnall gift wrapped it for you Lafayette!"

Only the Christmas part through parts of January was the soft part. Otherwise they had a tough 1st half schedule with back to backs and games packed in with long road trips. The up coming one is just against teams that have played well up to now. It's up to the team to find a way to play to their level and on the road. If they do they will stay on the bubble. If not they can slide out. Makes no difference to bottom positioning as there are other teams playing worse then them.

It would be impossible for them to win a cup, as they don't have a true #1 defenseman, that according to many posters here is a must in order to win.

So an old poopty roster with a bunch of NTC's is why they didn't subject Megna or Larsen to waivers? LOL....you're so quick to defend this pile of poop you didn't even read what was written....sheep.

Look at as a win win for whatever happens. If they win games then the remaining young guys develop from that. If they lose. They learn from mistakes and Nucks have a better draft position. If that helps with this non siginature player draft.

I'd rather be a sheep than a hysterical, chronic complainer. You want a high pick but you don't approve of how we get it
